Remember That Night 9/7/13
Remember when we drank wine, till both our teeth were red,
and I said to you, "if I stumble home I will surely be dead"
That's when you looked at me and softy you said,
"don't you wander out there, stumble to me instead"
I woke up hungover, my breath smelling of wine,
Your body laying there so far away from mine,
so we said our goodbyes, but not just to each other
but to that night as well, because there wouldn't be another,
Drawn to the bar by the call of a lonely heart,
the blurring of faces is my favorite part,
soon the blurring it stops, and the faces are new,
and each and everyone, reminds me of you
I still have that fortune from that chinese buffet,
"keep an open mind and live for this day"
I've been trying my best, but my efforts they lack,
and I simply can't bring that perfect day back
